The change in our lifestyle has made us comfortable. We are suffering from that as new diseases. Sugar (diabetes), diabetes, has become so common that someone or the other victim will be found around you. Environment or climate for stevia Farming

Stevia farming can be done easily throughout India. Strong sunlight and long days are good for this crop. On winter, the temperature of 20 to 30 degree centigrade is better for its growth. Warm climate is the perfect for stevia farming.

Frost and fog are harmful for stevia crop. Too much cold and heat damages it. The growth of the crop is good when the temperature is 15 to 30 degrees Celsius and 70 to 80 percent humidity.

The loam and loamy soil, which has a pH of between 5.5 and 7.0 and does not have water logging, is considered good for stevia farming, however, in the fields where vegetables can grow. Stevia plant can also grow easily.

For stevia cultivation the field should be well prepared. To maintain soil fertility, it should contain the right amount of organic matter. 50 tons of rotten cow dung should be applied in 1 hectare field. Also, proper water drain should be provided.
